Who Doesn't Love Christmas?

Hello everybody! This is the Time of the Year to be happy and spread the warmth of the season. It doesn't snow in Hawaii, but we still celebrate Christmas as well as anyone else. Just the other day, I bought my Christmas tree! I couldn't believe it, but everywhere was pretty much sold out of trees. My brother and I went to the local farmers market to buy our tree this year due to the quick selling out of trees. Don't you just love the whole season with its lights everywhere, carols and songs, and the amount of happiness in the air? I know that I do! We also have to remember that this season is not only about presents, but about spending time with our families and loved ones. For some reason, with school and sports and everything that's going on right now, it doesn't fully feel like Christmas yet, but it will come really soon and I, for one, am looking forward to Christmas break! Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season too! One of my cousins traditions is putting out milk and cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve, so that will be fun too. Family traditions also are brought out in this season, so have fun celebrating together!

Christmas has arrived!

I love Christmas! Don't you? It's the best of year. Everyone is such in a cheery mood especially since it's right after Thanksgiving. As we get closer to the holidays everyone starts giving more thanks. Personally I think I'm in a better mood when Christmas rolls around because it simply makes me really happy that I'll see my entire family soon. And let's get real; who doesn't love getting a whiff of the christmas tree in your living room each time you pass by? I can never get sick of that.
People are so excited to recieve gifts but we should also remember that Christmas is a time to give. Give to the homeless, the less fortunate, our troops, friends, family, and even a stranger. It doesn't need to be much, a simple smile could go a long way. We should also remember it's a time to celebrate the birth of Christ our Savior.

1950s Christmas in Chicago

Strolling State Street in downtown Chicago during the Christmas season is a precious memory. The city traffic swoon is muffled by the snow. Icycles like daggers hang from the light posts. Marshall Field & Co. store window crammed with figurines and miniature trains rivets the imagination.




To a child from suburban Oak Park, the annual excursion to that tangled axis of streetcar, skyscraper, and clamorous dissonance left impressions deep as the snow drifts along the curb.



A big city can seem an inhospitable place to a child, but during Christmas it transformed into a land of enchantment. It must have been that, anticipating the coming of the Christ Child, the hard edge of the markeplace gave way to a child-centered wonderland. Jesus now mattered, and so did wee ones - thousands of people jostled as one joyous family!

Christmas in Korea

In Korea we have Christmas also we call just Christmas we don’t have in Korean word. Also nowadays we celebrate Christmas, in the city have big Christmas tree and every tree have light on very nice and beautiful and usually in the store, restaurant, and movies sale and also have a festival in the street they wear the Christmas clothes and dancing and sing a song, in Christmas everybody so happy and snowing so more nice everybody want White Christmas and also we doing the Salvation army so every where we heard sound of a bell but before we not celebrate like that, before we not too much celebrate and just they though holiday and non-Christian thought just for Christian but nowadays many people celebrate and give to the present each other and go to church, but still not too much celebrate like in America. American people spend time with family and eat dinner and buy the real Christmas tree, but in Korea we buy the fake Christmas tree very rare buy the real Christmas tree and decorate, in Korea we usually spend time with friends and go party or go date also we spend time with family but we don’t think Christmas have to spend with my family we are just enjoy.
